Configuring new bsnl broadband modem for wifi

Error 676 Of BSNL Broadband


Sometimes you see error 676 “phone line is busy”.Here i show you how to remove this error.Let us start troubleshooting…….

1.Error looks like……


2.Now open your web browser & type 192.168.1.1 in url…….

& press enter key…….


3.Now fill both password & username as admin……

& click on “ok”……..


4.Then screen looks like below…….


5.Click on “Advance Setup”……..& then press edit button

of 1st table……….


6.Click on “Next”……..


7.Again click on “Next”……..


8.Now screen looks like this………..



9.Here you have to change PPP username & PPP password

with the username & password given to you by your ISP as

i give username as anand454…..


10.Then click on “Next”…….


11.Then click on “Save”…….


12.Then click on “Save/Reboot”…….


13.Now it takes approx. 2 minutes to restart your modem…..


14.After 2 minutes screen looks like this…………



Now you didn’t need to make any network connection

to connect your PC to intenet ,when you ON your modem

it means your network connection is ON.To disconnect

your computer from net simply power off your modem.




Now after all this when you start downloading using u torrent

;you see that your downloading speed is not like before .Because

your ports are not forwarded properly.So to forward your ports

follow steps given below……..

15.Open your u torrent….& click on the bottom of u torrent where

i draw a red rectangle……….


16.Then again click on button “Test If Port Is For…”…

it is also marked with a red rectangle……….



17.You see that your ports are not forwarded properly……

here you see an error…….



18.Now start “Run”……..



19.Type cmd inside Run………….



20.Now you see command prompt…….



21.Now type ipconfig inside it…………



22.Here note down your ip address ……..



23.Now again enter into”Advance Setup”…….

then click on “NAT”………then here you see

DMZ text box…….



24.Type your ip address inside this text box….

then click on “Save/Apply”……..



25.Again check the ports……as you check in step 17…..

now you see that your ports are open……..
